Our company Quest Marine Inc. was established by Ken Adams Sr. in the early 70's. Born in London England in 1933 where he lived until he finished his schooling with emphasis on technical drawing and design. His father wanted Ken to follow in his and his grandfathers footsteps. They were both platers in the shipyards. He decided he would stay in boats but built of wood not steel. He moved to the southeast to Rye In Sussex where he learned, built, and taught about boats.
In 1964 Ken was contracted by a N.J. boat builder Post Yachts to come to the states and make changes to a 34' offshore sport fishing boat it seemed like a good opportunity so he brought his family over. when that project was completed he ran repair shops and yards for a couple of marinas in Barnegat N.J. until he delivered a race boat to South Carolina and decided to stay. After building several opc boats we were approached by two gentleman Rich Lhurs, and George Linder to build an offshore cat. We built that offshore cat & many more very successfull offshore boats. And the rest as they say is history. Still today Ken Sr. & Ken Jr. work together to build & repair opc race boats, offshore cats, plug work, and contract work for many companies in the marine industry.
